Welcome Father Miller!

Father Philip Miller was ordained June 18, 1977, following seminary studies at Mt. St. Mary Seminary in Cincinnati.  He served as associate pastor at St. John Parish in Canton, Assumption Parish in Geneva, Holy Family Parish in Poland, St. Charles Parish in Boardman and Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Parish in Ashtabula. He has served as pastor at St. Mary Parish in Orwell, and most recently as pastor of St. Joseph Parish in Ashtabula. Father Miller was a member of the diocesan Priestsí Retirement Board and served as Dean of the Ashtabula County Deanery.

Father Miller began his assignment in Conneaut on August 1 as the second pastor of St. Mary/St. Frances Cabrini Parish.  God Bless You,  Father Miller.

Altar Servers - April 2013

Altar Servers for Corpus Christi Parish were installed by Father Miller before the 11am Mass on Sunday, April 14, 2013. Those present are pictured here with Father Summers. Following the Mass, the Altar Servers met at the Parish Center to form an Altar Servers Club. Anyone wishing to become an Altar Server should call the Parish Office.

Father Thomas and Father Summers are pictured in the rose colored vestment from the 4th Sunday in Lent.

Fr. Summers

The rose colored vestment is only worn twice during the liturgical year - on the 3rd Sunday in Advent, previously known as "Gaudete" (meaning 'joyful') Sunday and the 4th Sunday of Lent, previously known as "Laetare" (meaning 'praise or joy') Sunday.  The color symbolizes the Church's joy in each season as the birth of Christ draws near in Advent and Christ's resurrection is soon to be celebrated as the Church enters the midpoint of Lent.
